The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, approved by Anna University as a Research Centre is relentless pursuing research in new age digital technology and the faculty members are constantly engaging with the industry personnel to comprehend the real-time challenges. This understanding helps them to bridge the gap between the academia and the industry leading to creative breakthroughs. Some of the research specializations at the Department include Biometric security, Image processing, Cloud security, Data Mining, Web Mining, Machine Learning, security, Wireless Medical Sensor networks, Health data security, Wireless Networks Security, Embedded Systems, Wireless Sensor Networks and Internet of Things.

Dr. S. Sangeetha
Associate Professor
Dr. S. Sangeetha completed her ME and PhD from PSG College of Technology. Her previous experience includes 15+ years of teaching and research at PSG Tech. She is a recognized supervisor under Anna university. She published papers in peer reviewed Q1 journals, Scopus indexed conferences and book chapters. She has a strong enthusiasm for consultancy projects and completed projects for Samsung Research, MaxBytes, and Illensys Technologies. She received Certificate of Excellence for consultancy project from Samsung Prism, Bangalore. Dr. S. Sangeetha is granted with a funded project from “Niral Thiruvizha” and she also received Best Mentor award from KSI. To her credit she published a Patent and completed numerous Certification Courses. Her research interest is on Responsible AI, Privacy enhancing technologies, Machine Learning and Deep Learning. She is Reviewer at SCI journals: The Journal of Supercomputing, Springer, and Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. She delivered lectures on the topics AI for Agriculture, Paper Out like a Pro, Hands on Deep Learning with Python, Deep Learning for NLP in International Conferences and Guest Lectures at various institutions.
Dr. K R. Baskaran
Professor
Have 30 years of academic experience in teaching computer courses in various bachelors and master degree programmes in computer science. Interested in teaching operating systems, compiler design, computer architecture courses. Recognized supervisor in the department of ICE of Anna University, Chennai and currently guiding five research scholars in the areas of Machine learning, Deep learning, Data Analytics and IoT. Have been a course coordinator and project coordinator for B.Tech.-IT programme for more than a decade and have guided 75+ UG and PG projects in the past. Acting as external examiner for Ph.D. Viva-Voce for Texila American University for the past three years.
Dr. N. Suganthi
Professor
Dr N.Suganthi has 22 years of teaching experience, 40 + conference and journal research publications. She completed her Ph.D on 2014 and got Anna University supervisor recognition in 2016. She handles courses in hardware, security and wireless networks. She has guided almost 2 to 3 UG and PG projects during every year of her experience, she is currently guiding 5 Ph.D scholars including one full time scholar. She spends her free time reading books and gardening.
Dr. L. Latha
Professor
Dr. L. Latha has done her Doctorate in the field of “Biometric authentication” from Anna University. She has won the “Best Ph.D. Thesis award” from the Computer Society of India and got the second place at the National level. Her research interests include Multimodal biometrics, Network security, Pattern recognition, and Digital image processing. She has published many papers in journals and in various conferences and won the “Best paper award” thrice. She has completed a funded research project in the area of Biometric access control and holds the research guideship under Anna University Chennai.
