About SPARC Course
Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India has launched a new scheme, named as,  Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration (SPARC) with a view to facilitating global research networks between a higher educational institution in India with global universities. In addition to project-related collaborations, a course   will be taught by foreign faculty under this scheme.

Pr-requisites: 
No pre-requisite is required for this course. Students with a background in either materials or biological sciences will be preferred.

Learning Outcome
Develop a strong base in materials science and engineering which is of biomedical relevance
Appreciate the processing-structure-property relationship of biomaterials
Enhance the awareness of the complex multi-disciplinary nature of the biomaterials field
Ability to recommend appropriate materials for any given biomedical applications
Ability to design appropriate processing routes for various biomaterials
Ability to comprehend the techniques of writing a good research report
Assessment
1. Continuous Assessment will constitute up to 50% of the final mark, and it takes in the form of an Individual Project.
2. Final Examination will constitute up to 50% of the final mark, and it is an open-book examination

Thomson Reuters identified him among the World’s most influential scientific minds.
