The KCT TIFAC–CORE in Textile Technology and Machinery (Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council - Centre of Relevance and Excellence), set up as a tripartite collaborative venture between Kumaraguru College of Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology and Textile & Apparel Industries is involved in testing, product development, training, consultancy and product/market research activities.

The total cost of this project is Rs. 3.76 Crores, in which financial support of Rs. 1.16 Crores is from TIFAC, DST, Govt. of India. Three industrial partners’ contribution is Rs. 1.17 Crores. Balance amount of Rs. 1.43 Crores is being met by the college for non recurring expenditures.
