Institution of Engineers
KCT-Institution of Engineers (India) student chapter functions in the college from 2001 with a membership of about 200.The KCT-IEI student chapter oranizes activities such as technical lectures and technical paper presentation contest.

IEEE KCT Student Branch of Kumaraguru College of Technology has been actively working for the past 18 years. It has more than 70 members from several departments. Every year, IEEE – KCT branch conducts a Paper Presentation Contest Technoscript and a Project Contest Technotrix to encourage innovative ideas taking shape through our students. IEEE – KCT also conducts conferences, workshops, seminars and faculty development programmes for the faculty members to update their domain knowledge. Student promotional program M-Blazze is also periodically conducted by IEEE. IEEE sponsorship for a student project CHAIR ROBOT was granted in the year 2010.

KCT student branch of IEEE in collaboration with the Ecogreen unit of Tamilnadu Agricultural university organised an awareness programme on 26.11.2012 in the government school at Kembanaickenpalayam (near Annur) to promote the uses of banana fibre as a base for making handbags to garments.

KCT-ISA chapter organizes various technical seminars in the areas of Instrumentation and Control periodically. The chapter exposes students to the current trends in the field of Electronics, Instrumentation and Control. KCT-ISA student members are motivated to apply for awards and merit scholarships from ISA.
SAE KCT was started in 2010 to bring out the talents from KCT student community in the design and implementation of automotive equipment with novel features. The students from SAE KCT actively participate in SAE BAJA and EFFI-CYCLE in the name of Blitzkrieg Inc. (BAJA Team) and GreenTec (EFFI-CYCLE Team). One of the prominent feature of the SAE club is the participation in the National level event titled BAJA SAE. Since the year 2011, our students have produced three competition vehicles at the Basic Workshop of Mechanical Engineering Department built by them without any professional support. At the national rankings, our students’ products have proved to be quite competitive. The Baja SAE competition has become a permanent feature in the academic calendar of KCT!
Students for the Exploration and Development of Space, an independent, non-profit, student-based organization which promotes the exploration and development of space, was founded in 1980 at MIT, Princeton University, and Yale University. SEDS has chapters in Canada, India, Israel, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Philippines, Spain, United Kingdom, and United States. Each chapter is fairly independent and coordinates activities and projects in its own area.
SEDS-KCT is the Kumaraguru College of Technology division of the student organization.
