The National Conference on Communication Information Technology and Electronics (CITEL 2018) was conducted by the ECE department from 9 to 11 April, 2018. This is the 6th time the conference took place in KCT.
This conference was executed with a cluster of events which includes two pre-conference workshops, a project competition along with 2 keynote sessions and 4 paper presentation sessions. READ MORE
This two day annual National level symposium serves as an ideal platform for students from across the country to discuss and display the existing and upcoming technologies in the field of textiles. This year, the events included Technical paper presentation, Poster and project display and Industrial conclave. The symposium was conducted on 27 and 28 March, 2018.
The expert speakers from the industry included Mr. Berlin Jinu, Senior Manager, Lakshmi Electrical Control Systems Ltd., who discussed about the spinning industry, Mr. K. Christopher, Vice President (Operations), Lakshmi Mills, Coimbatore who shared his experiences about weaving industry and Mr. D. Venkadapathy, Managing Director, Prasanna Exports, who threw light on the apparel industry. The Technical paper presentation contest happened on 28 March, 2018.

Department of Information Technology is conducting two days national workshop in ” Recent Trends and Applications in semantic web and web services”on march 2nd and 3rd 2018.
The Department of Automobile Engineering, KCT, conducts KCT MINI DIRT BIKE 2018 on Saturday, 17th Feb 2018.
The KCT Mini Dirt BIKE Event is a competition for technical performance and demonstration of 60 CC and 80 CC motorcycles designed and fabricated by engineering college students.
KCT MDB comprises technical inspection for evaluating the design, fabrication, rigidity, innovation features, cost report & marketing presentation of the bikes and qualifying them for static and dynamic events. Also, dynamic events which includes Acceleration tests, Brake tests and Endurance performance tests for the teams qualified in Technical Inspection. A prize money of Rs.30000 will be awarded to winners of the event in 60 cc and 80 cc category with special awards for Best Rider & Best Innovation.
This flagship event from KCT is conducted every year in the dirt track located inside the campus of area 7.0 acres with track length about 1.5 kms with challenging hurdles, jumps and turns to test he structural rigidity & endurance performance of the bikes as well as the skills of the rider.
