In recognition of his immense contributions in these fields, he was awarded four Honorary Doctorates from Anna University, Chennai, Tamilnadu Agricultural University, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai. In recognition of his outstanding service to the nation, he has been confered by the President of India the prestigious award of "Padma Bhushan" in 2007.

Dr. B.K.Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, Chairman, Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan, Coimbatore Kendra, has assumed office as Co-Chairman of Kumaraguru College of Technology in its Silver Jubilee year, 2009. The Vice Chairman of the governing council, Mr. Manickam is a leading technocrat and successful industrialist of his own right. Currently, he is also the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Sakthi Sugars Limited and Sakthi Autocomponent Group and holds directorship in various companies of the Sakthi Group.

He was the President of the Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA) for 1996-97, President of South Indian Sugar Mills Association (SISMA) (TN) for 1993-95 and President of Sugar Technologists’ of India (STAI) for 2000-02. He has been elected as the President of SISMA (TN) for the year 2005-06.

An experienced educationist and administrator, Prof. Dr. K. Arumugam's role in the development of this institution is inspiring and worth emulating. His vast experience in teaching and educational administration has enabled the college to attain the premier status it enjoys today. His expertise as a structural engineer and designer is exemplified by the magnificient building at the campus "Dr. Mahalingam Vigyan Bhavan". In recognition of his valuable contributions in the field of technical education, he was awarded the Honorary Doctorate by Avinashilingam Deemed University, Coimbatore in 2004.

Mr. M. Balasubramaiam is the Secretary of the Trust (Ramanandha Adigalar Foundation) as well as the Correspondent of KCT. He is an experienced administrator with interests in finance, auto industry and dairy industry.

Currently, he is also the Managing Director of Sakthi Finance Limited and ABT Industries Ltd. and holds directorship in various companies of the Sakthi Group.

Dr. Shanmugam has over 20 years of teaching, research and administrative experience in the MIT Campus of Anna University, Chennai. He is actively involved in the research area of Electronic Instrumentation and had worked as one of the lead researcher in the "Anna University Satellite Project (ANUSAT)".

Has guided several PhD and MS research scholars. Have more than 120 publications to credits. He is a member of many high level committees in Anna University, Chennai, ISRO and DRDO.

Dr. S. Ramachandran has 23 years of industrial experience in Steel Authority of India Ltd where he had held different senior positions. He also has 9 years of academic and research experience. His area of interest includes Multiphase Heat Transfer, Total Quality Management and Environment Management.

He has 21 national / international publications and has authored one book. He is widely traveled and is the recipient of the Jawahar Award for his contributions to SAIL. He is a life member of Indian Institute of Metals, Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, and Indian Society of Technical Education.
